Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park is nominated to become a UNESCO World Heritage site located in southern Alberta. This park is characterized by its unique topographical features including sandstone formations, natural grasslands, and an abundance of historic and pre-contact petroglyphs and pictographs covering the sandstone cliffs. Lombard North was responsible for the upgrading of the existing campsite and day use area, flood damage restorations, the development of archaeological interpretative trails, public access trails, overlooks and viewpoints, restoration of native grasslands, and the route selection planning and development of a new bad lands trail to the Park’s interpretive center.
