Wildlife Overpasses and Underpasses, Banff National Park
Overview
Banff National Park – Current
Lombard North Group has been involved in the twinning of the Trans-Canada Highway from the east gate of Banff National Park to the B.C. border for more than 20 years. Stretching over 85kms and crossing numerous wildlife movement corridors, the twinning of the Trans-Canada Highway has provided the unique opportunity to create new structures that safely connect mountain habitats with the adjacent Bow River valley. Working with Parks Canada wildlife biologists and the distinctive mountain environment of Banff National Park, Lombard North has assisted in the creation of new fully landscaped animal crossings that fit seamlessly into the environment.
